#1: Pack an emergency kit
You should always have an emergency kit in your vehicle. Your emergency kit should have life-saving supplies if you need them. You should bring bottled water, food, blankets, flashlights, batteries, and more. If you get caught in a winter storm, you could be in your vehicle for a considerable amount of time. You should always have an emergency kit in your vehicle so you can weather the storm.
#2: Check you battery often
Make sure to get the battery out of your automobile checked by a trained professional. You don't want to run out of battery power when you are in the middle of a winter storm. Have all the fluids in your car checked thoroughly. Make sure your wiper fluid and your antifreeze are all checked. If they need to be refilled, do so properly.
